Edit Grids tool in the Grid Editors group of the Project Refinement tool-set can help edit all grids in the current model at once in a central place.
After the ribbon button is clicked, the main window will appear as follows.
Revit Length Unit & Precision: to indicate the Revit length unit and precision that are set in the current model.
Options: to specify some extra control over editing grid cells and columns.
- Apply Change to All Others in the Same Column Except for the X and Name: if all cells under a column should have the same value to avoid repetitive clicks, this option can be turned on; otherwise off as by default.
- Apply Change to All Chosen Rows Except for the X and Name: if some cells under a column on some chosen rows should have the same value to avoid repetitive clicks, this option can be turned on; otherwise off as by default.
Grids (Horizontal and Vertical):
Each data grid provides a lot of information of concerns for edition. All columns are resizable and sortable. When the whole window is resized, the data grid and its columns will be resized automatically. Each cell is editable or read-only based on some conditions to avoid confusions and input errors. Only good candidates are available to choose for each drop down box.
Columns: to display important information for those concerns.
- The data grid Header (the left most area of all rows) can be used to highlight multiple rows through mouse left-clicking/dragging (+ Ctrl/Shift key) and to choose them through clicking (De)Select Highlighted from the right-click context menu.
- The X column is for choosing the item.
- The Start Point column indicates the start point of the grid.
- The End Point column indicates the end point of the grid.
- The Curvy column indicates whether the grid is curvy.
- The Start Bubble column indicates whether the grid has a bubble at start.
- The End Bubble column indicates whether the grid has a button at end.
- The Start 3D column indicates whether the start bubble is 3D.
- The End 3D column indicates whether the end bubble is 3D.
- The Style column indicates which style the grid has.
Context Menu: to show up if the right mouse is clicked on row headers.
- Select Highlighted: will select all highlighted rows if any.
- Deselect Highlighted: will deselect all highlighted rows if any.
- Select All: will select all rows.
- Deselect All: will deselect all rows.
- Reverse Selection: will reverse the current selection
